INTRODUCTION

Lo Keng Chi graduated with a Master's Degree in Arts from The University of Hong Kong, majoring in Comparative Literature. He is very fond of reading and writing, and he enjoys cinema and visual arts as well. During his studies, he led reading groups and was actively involved in the publishing of literary journals. He is one of the editors of Fleurs des Lettres, a literary magazine. He has devoted himself to literary writing since 2001, and his works were published in local literary magazines and journals, including Fleurs des Lettres, Platform, Ming Pao and the Hong Kong Economic Journal.  Lo is the recipient of several literary awards, including winner of the 2nd Young Writers' Debut Competition in 2009, and he subsequently published his award-winning work in a poetry book titled “Latency”.

In recent years, Lo expanded his interest to visual arts because he believes that artworks have an equally powerful impact on society as literary writing. Through his artwork, Lo hopes to raise awareness in disability rights and encourage disabled people to take up art. In 2010, Lo Keng Chi’s artwork titled “Enlightenment” was awarded the gold prize in the open division competition of “Cross All Borders: Hong Kong Festival Showcasing New Visual Artists with Disabilities 2010”.
