INTRODUCTION

Christine Lau started learning ballet at the age of four and has fallen in love with dancing ever since. She mentored under professional dancers such as Victor Ma and Ong Yong Lock, and in 2012, she passed the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Grade 8 Ballet Examinations. Three years later, she was awarded a gold medal by the Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD) Gold Medal for Jazz Moves.

 

She also explores different dance styles including modern, jazz and Chinese. She regularly competes in dancing competitions and takes part in performances to gain on-stage experience, including “ArtAlive@Park 2012 - Joyful Dance Fusion”, “Festival of Inclusive Arts 2013”, “Jeté on Piano”, “Arts are for Everyone” Fundraising Gala and “Chinese Language Arts & Culture Academy's 3rd Anniversary & Arts Festival”. In 2014, Christine represented Hong Kong at the “Pyeongchang Special Music & Art Festival” held in Korea.

 

Christine is aspiring to become a choreographer and dancing tutor. She is currently a teaching assistant of Rotary Club of Hong Kong Island West Hong Chi Morning Hope School-Shine Dancing Group. She is constantly honing her dancing skills, and would like to spread the joys of dance and music far and wide.
