Yuen Man Wai

Yuen Man Wai gradually lost his vision in his teenage years due to macular degeneration, but it did not stop him from becoming a balloon twister entertainer. Fascinated by balloon twisting ever since his first encounter with it, he has worked very hard to perfect his art. His efforts have paid off and he was awarded the honour “Life Driver” by the organisation Hong Kong Rehabilitation Power at the event “2011 Life Drive Selection".

Man Wai is currently a balloon twisting instructor and entertainer, and is regularly hired for his services at carnivals, birthday parties and many other events. He also founded the "People with Visual Impairment Balloon Twisting Working Group”. Man Wai hopes his life story will be a source of inspiration and encouragement for others.
